| Prismatic brings new works by culturally diverse artists into the spotlight. The mandate of this initiative is to promote the pursuit of artistic excellence through collaboration, innovation and dialogue. PRISMATIC WILL: • bring new works of Canada’s leading culturally diverse artists to a wide audience; • facilitate the professional and artistic development of emerging and professional artists; and • partner with a variety stakeholders to bring diverse perspectives, experiences and visions to Prismatic’s professional development activities and artistic pursuits. Prismatic is striving to be Canada’s premier festival for new works by culturally diverse artists. Through the artistic events, Prismatic will enable a wide audience to engage with a variety of artists and art forms. Through, professional development activities, Prismatic will break down the barriers of geography and artistic discipline to facilitate artistic innovation, collaboration amongst artists and professional development. In short, Prismatic, we will promote the development of culturally diverse artists and provide a platform to debut their new works, collaborations, and experiments. | From November 21st - 23rd, 2008, OneLight Theatre hosted their first Prismatic event. This conference and performance event celebrated the contributions of culturally diverse artists living in our region while exploring the challenges that they face in becoming professional artists.
